Wal-Mart launches “one stop” financial service in 80 cities

According to the menu prompt at the payment terminal, consumers are able to complete credit card payment, loan repayment and other kinds of payment by themselves, which is very convenient. Recently, Wal-Mart launches “kalaka one stop” financial service in 80 cities.
As a new strategy, Wal-Mart provides one-stop financial service of credit card repayment, public utility fee, Alipay usage and mobile phone recharge to consumers. The new services are born from the cooperation of Wal-Mart and Kalaka, the largest payment company in China.

Ms. Yuan Mingjiang, deputy president of Wal-Mart’s value added services and strategy division, said: the new services launched this time show the company's sincerity to satisfy consumers’ diversified needs. Our company plans to develop other new services and brings a more convenient life to our consumers.
Mr. Sun Taoran, president of Kalaka, claimed that the new services have been adopted in about 90 Wal-Mart supermarkets. In May, 50 thousand deals have been done, the value of which exceeds CNY18 million. Before entering Wal-Mart, Kalaka smart payment terminal has been used in 7-11, Lianhua Quick and so on.

Mr. Sun also said that the operation of Wal-Mart was a milestone of Kalaka’s expansion. Currently, Kalaka has more than 30 thousand network terminals in 60 cities of 18 provinces. And the number of monthly transaction exceeds 3 million, in which credit card repayment exceeds 1.5 million.
